Time off, done properly

Vacation, wellness days, lieu time, jury duty and unpaid leave. Half days, carry-over with expiry, probation, tenure steps and two-step approvals.

Every rule is a setting

Types, policies, assignments, holidays and approval routes are yours to change. No consultants, no change requests, no waiting.

One price, every feature

Time off, people and talent for US$4.99 per employee, per month. Nothing held back for a bigger tier.

Time off

A request that explains itself.

Before anyone presses send, peepsbase shows what the request costs, whether it fits the policy, who will approve it and what colleagues will see.

  • Balance today and the balance expected at year end, with the carry-over limit.
  • Notice, length and yearly limits checked against the policy. Holidays and weekends never use balance.
  • Who else on the team is away on those days.
  • The approval route: manager only, manager then People Ops, or notify only.

Configuration

Every rule is a setting.

Four steps, the way People Ops already thinks about it. Scroll through them.

1 · Type

Holidays

One calendar per location. Statutory days come from the province or state; company days are yours to add. A day off never uses balance.

Visibility

Decide how far managers see: direct reports, two levels or the whole chain. Everyone else sees “Out of office”.

Talent

Help your people grow. Same price.

Reviews, goals, 1-on-1s, feedback, development plans and surveys are part of peepsbase, not a module sold on top.

  • Reviews

Self, manager and peer reviews with a 1–5 rating and comments, with goals beside the form. People read, confirm and reply.

  • Goals

Company, team and personal goals with key results and check-ins. Team progress adds up from the goals aligned to it.

  • 1-on-1s

A shared agenda and notes, private notes and action items. The next meeting starts with what was left open.

  • Feedback

Give, ask and reply, tied to your company values. The writer chooses who reads it; praise can go on the public wall.

  • Development

Career plans with steps linked to goals, so growth is written down and followed up.

  • Surveys

Anonymous engagement and pulse surveys with eNPS. Results only after the survey closes, and only for groups of 5 or more by default.

Why peepsbase

Built for Canada and the United States.

Not a global suite with a country dropdown. Languages, holidays and time-off rules follow each location from day one.

English and French

The interface, and every text your company writes: policy names, reasons, holidays, profile fields. Each one has its French version.

Rules by location

One holiday calendar and one set of policies per province or state. Toronto and Austin never share a calendar, or a vacation rule.

Working from elsewhere

Working from another province, state or country is a request like any other. Work in another country goes to People Ops.

Data in North America

Your people’s data stays in the region, with a change log for every edit.

Compare

What you get without the suite.

All-in-one HR suites sell performance, payroll and planning on top of the essentials, and price them by quote. Most offices only need the first column.
